Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) - Calgary Region
About The Position
VetCare is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join their team as a Floating RVT across their Calgary and area practices. This role is ideal for an RVT who thrives on variety, values flexibility, and enjoys being part of a broader community of practices. The Floating RVT will support teams during high demand, vacation coverage, and leaves, ensuring continuity of care for patients and seamless operations. The position requires a minimum of 24 hours per week, with benefits eligibility and paid mileage. The successful candidate will be willing to work at multiple VetCare specific clinics to cover sick/coverage leave.
Requirements
- Passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE.
- In good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
- Successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program.
- Willing to work at multiple VetCare specific clinics to cover other clinics sick/coverage leave.

Responsibilities
- Assist the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures.
- Use a range of diagnostic equipment.
- Prepare patients, instruments and equipment for surgery.
- Administer and monitor medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian.
- Build positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets.
- Be respectful in all interactions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Support teams during high demand, vacation coverage, and leaves.
- Ensure continuity of care for patients and seamless operations for practices.
- Move between multiple locations in Calgary and area.
