About The Position

Northridge Animal Medical Center (NAMC) is a well-established small animal general practice offering a full-service facility with a mission to provide progressive, compassionate, and affordable veterinary care. The team is highly trained to offer innovative veterinary care including wellness, urgent care, general surgery, orthopedic procedures, dentistry, acupuncture, and chiropractic care. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology such as a complete IDEXX in-house lab, digital imaging (whole body and dental), and a cold therapy laser. NAMC aims to maintain a friendly and cohesive working environment with top-quality medicine, fostering a family-like atmosphere for the team and a friendly relationship with clients.

Requirements

  • A registered veterinary technician
  • 1+ year experience preferred but not required
  • A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
  • Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
  • Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
  • Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
  • Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
  • Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
  • Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
  • Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs, positioning for dental radiographs are a plus
  • Proficient in anesthesia and surgical monitoring
  • A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
  • Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Animal restraint
