About The Position

Festival Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with examinations, surgery, anesthesia, recovery, and other technical procedures, while helping clients understand their pets’ care. The clinic serves pets and families in Harford County, Maryland, and provides a range of services, including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, laser therapy, senior-pet care, and care for exotic pets.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday with rotating hours between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., plus rotating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pay is $22–$25 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. Requirements

• Hold a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification in the state of Maryland.
• Be able to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Know common disease states and be able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Be familiar with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with dispensing medications.
• Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
