About The Position
Bush Veterinary Neurology Services (BVNS) in Rockville, MD is seeking an overnight Registered Veterinary Technician to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is crucial for providing exceptional care to post-operative patients during their immediate recovery phase. BVNS emphasizes growth, support, and collaboration, offering a comprehensive training program for technicians of all backgrounds, including those from general practice. They are also open to individuals currently enrolled in an RVT/LVT program and offer tuition reimbursement.
Requirements
- Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license (or currently enrolled in an accredited RVT/LVT program).
- At least 2 years of experience as an RVT (or 2 years as a Veterinary Assistant).
- Eager to learn, adapt, and work independently during overnight hours.
- A strong foundation in veterinary technical skills and a great attitude.

Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality medical and post-operative nursing care.
- Monitoring and documenting patient vitals and critical neurological conditions overnight.
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement.
- Drug calculations and medication administration (including IV).
- Cross-training opportunities with the advanced imaging department (including MRI scans).
