Requirements

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program
• Veterinary technology certification or licensure
• Experience working in a veterinary practice or emergency veterinary medicine

• Triaging incoming emergency cases
• Assisting veterinarians with treatments and procedures
• IV therapy administration
• Wound care
• Feeding tube management
• Patient assessments
• Catheter placement
• Laboratory sample collection
• Blood and plasma transfusions
• Compassionate patient handling and comfort-focused care
• Performing in-house laboratory testing including CBC, blood gas analysis, and cytology
• Communicating with clients during patient discharge, providing compassionate education and support
