Toronto's only feline-specific veterinary clinic is hiring! Downtown Toronto Cat Clinic is ready to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to add to our fantastic team! From Maine Coons to Donskoys, our patients enjoy unparalleled general care, plus cool services like nutritional evaluations, behavioral consults, and cat grooming - all in a dog-free clinic to help keep our cool cats from turning into fractious felines. Requirements

  • Current, valid RVT credentials
  • Ability to build rapport with clients, fellow team members, and leadership
  • Client education and communication skills that convey our recommendations to clients in an easily understandable and professional manner
  • Maintaining a positive, supportive approach at all times
  • Responding to the pressure of a fast-paced environment with dignity and professionalism
  • The confidence to own tasks and responsibilities, and deliver positive outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring
  • Competency in emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement
