About The Position
Gillies Grove Animal Hospital in Arnprior, Ontario, is seeking an exceptional part-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join their team. This role requires an RVT who can act as the main technician in the clinic, confidently and independently handling various responsibilities even when the supervisor is away. The position offers ample opportunities to fully utilize skills and gain valuable experience in a supportive and close-knit team environment. The candidate will contribute directly to the day-to-day operations of the clinic and play a vital role in training new staff as the team grows. The clinic prioritizes regular communication through monthly staff meetings and organizes team activities for bonding and fostering a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Passed the VTNE or will soon be passing the VTNE.
- Good standing with their provincial regulatory association.
- Ability to work independently and take charge in the absence of the supervisor.
- Strong communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Quick learner and self-starter.
- Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities with confidence and professionalism.
