They will have experience rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and supportive team member. Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technicians (license must be current)
- 3+ years of clinical veterinary experience (required)
- Strong anesthesia monitoring experience.
- Must be available to work weekends
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Assisting in surgery
- Placing IV catheters
- Drawing blood and running bloodwork
- Knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning
- Proper animal handling and restraint
- Client education
- Teaching, training, and mentoring vet tech knowledge and skills with staff
- Experience with inventory for surgeries and back-of-the-house medications and supplies
- Surgery scheduling, and helps to control each surgery's flow to stay on track
