About The Position
Gentle Care Pet Clinic is a small-animal practice in Long Beach that has served pets and their families since 1997. The clinic provides personalized care for dogs and cats, including wellness and preventive care, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, surgery, and pharmacy support. It aims to provide a welcoming environment where pets receive individualized care and clients feel supported. The clinic is seeking a full-time, experienced Registered Veterinary Technician. The ideal candidate has at least three years of veterinary technician experience and is proficient and confident in surgery, anesthesia, and dentistry, with a strong interest in those areas. Veterinary technician certification is required, or the candidate must be eligible to obtain licensure under state requirements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a veterinary technician.
- Strong animal-handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Veterinary technician certification, or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
- Proficiency and confidence in surgery, anesthesia, and dentistry.

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical and dental procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals, and administer medications and vaccines.
- Collect laboratory samples and maintain accurate patient records.
