Registered Veterinary Technician
About The Position
Animal Eye Care is a well-established veterinary ophthalmology specialty practice in Pleasanton and Fremont. We are in search of a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are offering an hourly rate of $33-35 based on experience, along with training/career growth potential and comprehensive benefits. The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 6:30 pm. Work will primarily be performed at our Pleasanton location. We are looking for a compassionate, motivated team player who has an interest in ophthalmology. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and ready to expand on their veterinary careers!
Requirements
- Are a registered veterinary technician with an active license looking to get into a specialty
- Have experience working with anesthesia
- Want to elevate the level of medicine you’re practicing
- Strive to provide each client with compassion and care
- Are team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Interest in ophthalmology
Responsibilities
- Performing or assisting with diagnostic testing (Schirmer Tear Testing, Tonometry, Ocular Ultrasounds, Electroretinogram testing, etc.)
- Participating in state-of-the-art surgeries including cataract surgery
- Assisting with ocular exams
- Client communication and education
- Anesthesia monitoring
