About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) for their Purple Paws Pet Clinic in Coronado, CA. This role is designed for RVTs who want to practice at the top of their license in a community-minded small animal practice. Requirements

Must hold a valid California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) state license.
Leadership and peer mentoring experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Anesthesia & Analgesia: Full IV catheterization, multimodal pain management, induction, and advanced monitoring/recovery.
Dentistry: Full-mouth dental radiography, charting, and periodontal therapy (per DVM direction).
Diagnostics: High-quality radiography/positioning, in-house lab analysis, and sample collection.
Nursing & Triage: Critical patient monitoring, advanced wound care, and managing catheters/feeding tubes.
Workflow Leadership: Leading tech appointments, team huddles, and mentoring assistants/externs.
