About The Position

Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician with a focus on Internal Medicine, specifically Nephrology & Urology, to join their growing team. This role involves providing specialized care to nephrology patients, assisting with procedures, and collaborating with various teams within the hospital. The position offers an opportunity to gain experience in a new and exciting specialty area within a state-of-the-art facility.

Requirements

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with at least 2 years of applicable experience
At least 1 year of experience within a specialty veterinary hospital preferred, preferably within an Internal Medicine department
Safely handle, lift, and restrain dogs/cats; stand for extended periods
Perform venipuncture and place peripheral IV catheters using aseptic technique
Basic surgical experience/knowledge preferred
Communicate effectively with technicians, assistants, doctors, and staff
Detail-oriented multitasker with strong decision-making skills in fast-paced settings
Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Responsibilities

Effectively communicate with clients, via phone, email, and in-person, regarding common Nephrology/Urology procedures.
Manage appointment and procedure schedules from intake to discharge.
Assist with surgical and endoscopy procedures as well as clean up and care of specialized surgical equipment.
Collaboration with the ICU teams for nephrology specific patient care.
Operate as a collaborative member of an innovative team.
