About The Position
VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital is seeking registered veterinary technicians to join their team in their General Practice. Technicians are responsible for the technical duties, client communication, and patient care related to their role and department. Established in 1971 and becoming a 24-hour hospital in 1974, VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital prides itself on providing outstanding, innovative patient care. The hospital fosters a culture of constant teamwork, with each team member being equally important in helping patients and clients achieve long, healthy lives. Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) credentials
- Credentialed technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT)

Responsibilities
- Perform technical duties, client communication, and patient care related to their role and department
- Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients

- Perform physical examinations and patient assessment
- Monitor anesthesia
- Perform surgical preparation and assisting
- Perform dentistry tasks
- Perform radiology tasks
- Perform laboratory work
- Perform venipuncture
- Perform catheter placement
- Manage pharmacy duties
- Oversee patient recovery
- Provide compassionate care of hospitalized animals
