About The Position

As an Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician, you'll work alongside experienced emergency doctors and specialists providing advanced nursing care for critically ill and injured patients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. At SAGE Concord, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll be part of the largest specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in the East Bay. Requirements
- Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.
- Minimum of two years of emergency or clinical veterinary experience.
- Strong technical skills in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, CPR, drug calculations, critical patient care, and patient handling.
- Excellent communication, client service, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced emergency environment.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

- Mentorship toward Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.
- Serve as the primary nurse for emergency surgical procedures during swing shifts.
- Triage emergency patients and support clients throughout their hospital experience.
- Partner with veterinarians to perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
- Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with advanced diagnostic imaging.
- Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia and sedation.
- Monitor hospitalized patients and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
