About The Position

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, established team at Watford Vets4Pets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, welcoming practice with a strong team culture, great facilities, and genuine scope to develop your nursing career. Watford Vets4Pets is a busy small animal practice with a loyal client base and a positive, collaborative working environment. While we benefit from the backing of a larger organisation, we pride ourselves on maintaining a local, close-knit feel where everyone supports one another. The practice is located in Century Retail Park, inside the Pets at Home store, offering a modern, well-equipped practice environment, free on-site parking, and an easy commute from Central London. You will be working alongside two permanent vets, supported by a Practice Manager, a Part-time Head Nurse, two Veterinary Care Assistants, and two Receptionists. Nurses are central to everything we do, and your voice and skills will always be valued. This is a hands-on nursing role where you will be encouraged to work at the top of your license. Your duties will include admitting and discharging patients, monitoring anaesthetics, managing recoveries, and delivering high-quality inpatient care. You will also provide clear, compassionate communication to clients. Our Veterinary Care Assistants assist with patient preparation and theatre turnaround, allowing you to focus on nursing. There is also the opportunity to run nurse clinics and develop areas of clinical interest.
