About The Position

The Registered Stress Nurse independently manages and assists with high-level non-invasive cardiac imaging, including CCTAs, nuclear stress tests, stress echocardiograms, tilt tables, and stress MRIs. The nurse implements and adapts patient care plans in real time, monitors and records patient conditions, and communicates critical changes to the care team. The role executes physician and nursing orders accurately while adhering to cardiovascular protocols and safety standards, and advocates for patients by ensuring their condition is monitored and care is precisely delivered.

This is a full-time day-shift position in Diagnostic Cardiology at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, Tennessee.

Requirements

• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Hold a Registered Nurse credential from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a current home-state license recognized through a compact-state multistate license before hire or job transfer.
• Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or the required professional licensure at the time of hire.
