About The Position

The Registered Nurse, Exercise Cardiac Stress Tester actively participates in efficient patient flow through the Cardio Diagnostics department. The role screens patients before exercise testing to determine whether non-physician-supervised stress testing is appropriate, and supervises and administers stress tests in collaboration with Cardio Diagnostic staff under the oversight of a physician supervisor. Supplementary duties within Cardio Diagnostics may include coordinating EKG team activities, performing EKGs, reconciliation, and quality reporting as directed by the Lead/Supervisor.

This is a full-time day-shift role, typically working eight-hour shifts from 0700 to 15:30. Weekend on-call duties rotate from 0700 to 12:00, typically every two to three weekends. The posting notes that there is no mandatory overtime.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program.
• Indiana RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• ACLS certification.
• At least two years of bedside experience or experience in surgical recovery.
• EKG experience.

Nice To Haves

• Practical experience in a clinical exercise testing laboratory.
• Prior experience in the ER, Cath Lab, PCU, ICU, cardiac recovery, or surgical recovery.

Responsibilities
