About The Position

Texas Health Dallas is hosting a Virtual RRT Hiring Event on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event is for various shifts, including Full-time, Part-time, PRN, Evenings, and Nights, with weekend and holiday requirements. The position involves delivering high-quality patient care, reviewing medical records, assessing patients, and applying appropriate interventions. Texas Health Dallas is a Magnet-designated, full-service hospital with over 50 years of experience, specializing in various areas including cancer care, cardiology, neurosciences, women's services, and emergency medicine. They are a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a Comprehensive Stroke and Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, and a Level I Trauma Center.

Requirements

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program upon hire required
• Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency upon hire required
• RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 Days required
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required if working in the NICU 90 Days required
• Good verbal communications, good interpersonal skills, and computer experience

Responsibilities

• Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family.
• Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
• Applies appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
• Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age-specific needs.
• Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment.
• Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
