About The Position

Texas Health Dallas Respiratory Department is hosting a Virtual RRT Hiring Event on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event is an opportunity to join Texas Health and make a difference every day. The role involves reviewing medical records, obtaining patient history, evaluating patients using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessments, applying patient care interventions according to protocol, and using therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to the patient's age and desire for treatment. The position requires performing treatment procedures within the scope of the professional license.

Requirements

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program upon hire
• CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency upon hire
• RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 Days
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required if working in the NICU 90 Days
• Good verbal communications
• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer experience

Responsibilities

• Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history from the patient or family.
• Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
• Applies appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
• Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age-specific needs.
• Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient's age and desire for treatment.
• Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
