About The Position

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. Consults physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meet state licensure requirements and hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• For co-workers working in the Emergency Room, PALS is required.
• Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs.; pinching up to 10 lbs.; and minimally kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Nice To Haves

• Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Critical care experience.
