About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced respiratory care in an acute care hospital setting. The RRT will independently assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders while collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. This role involves managing ventilators and life-support equipment, delivering oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications, performing arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, and responding to emergency situations such as code blues. The therapist will also ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system and maintain proper cleaning and functionality of respiratory equipment.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Active Indiana state Respiratory Therapist license
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree)
  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • ACLS preferred
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures and ventilator management
  • Ability to work effectively in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • ICU, ER, or acute care experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in acute and critical care settings
  • Operate and manage ventilators and other life-support systems
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and related respiratory medications
  • Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analyses
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including code blue events
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in collaboration with physicians
  • Accurately document all treatments and patient data in EMR systems
  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and sanitation of respiratory equipment
