About The Position

Per Diem, Rotate To use sound knowledge and proficiency in the treatment of cardiopulmonary disorders for inpatients and outpatients of all ages with various types of media, i.e., Oxygen and other Therapeutic Gases and Aerosol Inhalation, Holter set-up, Pulmonary Function Test, all related Respiratory Care Equipment, Mechanical Ventilation, Blood Gas Sampling/Analysis and all other aspects of respiratory therapeutic treatments.

Requirements

• Graduate of a two (2) year AMA approved Respiratory Care Program
• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Licensed by the State of Florida Department of Professional Regulations
• Current American Heart Association BLS
• Current American Heart Association ACLS
• Current American Heart Association PALS
• If credentialed by the NBRC on or after July 1, 2002, must participate in the Credential Maintenance Program to maintain NBRC credentials.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one (1) year post-graduate clinical experience in Respiratory Care procedures
• Current NRP certification (for therapists working in NICU)
• Membership to the Florida Society of Respiratory Care and/or American Association for Respiratory Care

• Treatment of cardiopulmonary disorders for inpatients and outpatients of all ages
• Administer Oxygen and other Therapeutic Gases
• Administer Aerosol Inhalation
• Holter set-up
• Perform Pulmonary Function Tests
• Operate and maintain all related Respiratory Care Equipment
• Manage Mechanical Ventilation
• Perform Blood Gas Sampling/Analysis
• Perform all other aspects of respiratory therapeutic treatments
