About The Position
Piedmont Macon Medical is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for PRN night work. The role performs patient assessments and general respiratory care procedures and protocols, along with critical care procedures in adult care areas. Responsibilities also include blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of equipment, and patient education.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Georgia licensure through the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners, required upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS), required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), required upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), required within 60 days.
- No work experience required.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments.
- Perform general respiratory care procedures and protocols.
- Perform critical care procedures in adult care areas.
- Conduct blood gas analysis.
- Maintain and manage equipment.
- Provide patient education.
