About The Position

UF Health Durbin Park is a 42.5-acre medical campus located at 100 Flagler Health Way in St. Johns, Florida. Anchored by a $285 million, 220,000-square-foot 99 bed hospital. The campus includes Emergency & Critical Care with a 24/7 Emergency Department equipped with 22 exam rooms, along with dedicated intensive care units. It also features Surgical Services with 6 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites, cardiac catheterization labs, and interventional radiology suites.

Requirements

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Ability to administer respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Ability to act as lead therapist when assigned for all areas.
• When acting as a lead therapist, be able to provide NICU patient care (i.e., ventilator and Oxygen assessment).
• Current State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist form the Department of Health and State of Florida
• Current BLS certification.
• Less than one (1) year of critical care for ventilator management experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Three (3) or more years previous Respiratory Therapist experience in a major health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Acts as lead therapist when assigned.
• Performs all other duties as requested by management in accordance with established Policies and Procedures within the job specification.
