About The Position

We’re seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) who is passionate about delivering high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced acute care environment. In this role, you’ll work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team while using advanced respiratory technologies to support patients across a variety of clinical needs. Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC
• Active Florida state RRT license
• Completion of a two-year AMA-approved Respiratory Care program (Associate degree or equivalent)
• Minimum 6 months of recent acute-care experience
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure monitoring
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient needs and response to therapy
• Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy
• Assist with artificial airway placement and manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilation based on patient response
• Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in respiratory status
• Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients when necessary
• Respond to emergency situations and resuscitations, ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation
