About The Position

This is a 12-week contract position for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience in pediatrics. The role involves providing respiratory care to neonatal patients in the NICU/PICU setting, monitoring patient status, operating equipment, collaborating with the healthcare team, documenting patient progress, educating families, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.

Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensed with in the state of Indiana
• 2 years of recent and related experience, as required by facility
• Must have worked at a children's hospital within the last 5 years.
• Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure
• Proficient in Airway management, Medication administration, Vent management, ABGs, 02 Therapy, Suction, Pulmonary toileting, Nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP
• Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facility

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in the NICU/PICU setting
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient progress and treatment accurately and timely
• Educate families on respiratory care and equipment usage
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
