About The Position

This role involves leading patient assessments to develop and implement customized respiratory care plans, ensuring the type and frequency of treatment align perfectly with the patient’s diagnosis. The therapist will deliver advanced respiratory therapies and monitor complex equipment to ensure physiological stability, while documenting and communicating real-time changes in patient condition. Additionally, the role requires evaluating clinical outcomes by continuously reviewing the effectiveness of respiratory practices and medications, pivoting treatment strategies to ensure the highest quality of recovery. The therapist will also drive patient and family empowerment through dedicated education on health conditions and community resources, while providing expert intervention during emergency resuscitation and codes.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Florida Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
