About The Position

This role involves formulating, executing, and evaluating individualized respiratory care protocols. The Registered Respiratory Therapist will manage and oversee the application of advanced respiratory modalities and specialized equipment. Responsibilities include documenting, recording, and communicating patient status, assessing treatment efficacy relative to established outcomes. The therapist will also provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding conditions and facilitate referrals to external community resources. Additionally, the role requires participation in the emergency resuscitation team and responding to critical code notifications.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Two to three years of experience preferred
RRT Indiana licensure preferred
