About The Position

The Registered Radiologic Technologist operates x-ray equipment to support diagnostic and/or therapeutic services. The role may include preparing and administering chemical mixtures appropriate to the procedure. The technologist follows instructions and established guidelines, works under immediate supervision, and uses a degree of creativity and latitude in carrying out the job. The position typically reports to an Imaging Supervisor and includes other related duties as assigned. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field is expected. Regular and predictable attendance is essential, as is competence in meeting the age-specific needs of the assigned unit.

Requirements

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school in Radiologic Technology, or a U.S. Military equivalent.
• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Accepted credentials include current AHA Healthcare Provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver, or Kootenai Health BLS during General Orientation.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
