About The Position

Bayshore is currently seeking applicants interested in being considered for future Overnight Homecare Nurse team member positions. This is a flexible overnight homecare nursing opportunity. As a Shift Registered Practical Nurse, you’ll play a hands-on role in the lives of the client and their family. Your presence provides respite for the families of medically compromised youth. Bayshore is currently seeking a passionate and caring Shift Nurse to join our exceptional care team.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RPN)
• Current registration in good standing with the provincial regulatory body (CNO)
• 1–2 years of recent relevant nursing experience, preferably in a community setting
• Valid G2 or G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel within the Hamilton/Burlington area in all weather conditions

Nice To Haves

• Additional certifications (e.g., Trach and Vent)
• Experience with palliative, pediatrics, diabetes management, trach/vent care is an asset

Responsibilities

• Pediatric care
• Enteral nutrition via pump or syringe - g tube, nj-tube
• Tracheostomy and ventilator care
• Palliative care
• Wound care
• Chronic disease management and health teaching
• Supporting clients with tracheostomy and/or ventilator needs
• Managing diabetes care
