Requirements
- Strong knowledge of safe medication administration
- Ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to following up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by a Client, family or team members and informs/seeks assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate
- Proven ability to complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframes
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
- Current Medication Administration Certificate
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
- Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- Successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

- Contribute to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards
- Following up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by a Client, family or team members and informs/seeks assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate
- Promote the Client’s self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasize adaptation and abilities, promote wellness and provide preventative health education, thus by treating the whole person
- Complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframes
- Support the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education
- Perform other duties as assigned
