This is an exciting opportunity to join the Medical Withdrawal Service. We are seeking a full-time, permanent, Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join this supportive and collaborative team. The expanded MWS serves adult clients with severe substance use and/or complex pain disorders who require medically-supervised withdrawal and initiation of medications to stabilize their conditions and support their recovery. Using principles of harm reduction and measurement-based care, Registered Practical Nurses are an essential part of these interprofessional teams. You will continuously assess clients’ physiological stability, mental status, risks, functional ability, stage of change, coping skills and motivation. Through its core values of Courage, Respect and Excellence, CAMH is implementing its Strategic Plan: Connected CAMH, to transform lives, ignite innovation and discovery, revolutionize education and drive social change. CAMH is more than a hospital, it is a cause. CAMH is on a mission to change the way society thinks about and responds to mental illness. They aim to eliminate prejudice and discrimination and shape a world where mental illness is central to our healthcare system – a world where Mental Health is Health.
