Reporting to the Nursing Leadership Team, you’ll provide services in accordance with College of Nurses of Ontario standards and contribute meaningfully to a collaborative care environment. Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and RPNAO
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems
  • Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check obtained within the past six (6) months
  • Proof of a negative 2 Step TB test result along with a one-step negative result from within the last 2 (two) months

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of six months of nursing experience in long-term care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized nursing care and administer medications
  • Provide emotional and physical support with a resident-first mindset
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and health screening protocols
  • Conduct clinical assessments and review lab results
  • Supervise restorative and palliative programs and oversee procedures such as catheterization, tube feedings, and dialysis
  • Support and mentor Personal Support Workers
  • Address resident, family, and visitor concerns professionally
  • Document care electronically and work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and Nurse Leaders
  • Comply with Ontario’s Occupational Health & Safety regulations
  • Participate in regular training and team meetings
