About The Position

Passport Health is North America's largest travel medicine and immunization provider, with over 300 clinics across Canada and the U.S. They are seeking experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) for a role that offers autonomy, specialized expertise, and genuine one-on-one patient connection, moving away from high-pressure hospital or traditional clinic settings. This role focuses on independent work, with support from clinical leadership, allowing nurses to manage their day and provide an excellent client experience. Travel medicine is a specialty where nurses develop deep expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases, international health risks, and pre-travel health planning.

Requirements

  • Active RPN license in good standing in working province
  • 1+ years of clinical nursing experience
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Strong patient communication and education skills
  • Reliable access to a personal computer (training systems require desktop or laptop)
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Meet)
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to lift and transport vaccine inventory as needed (up to 25 lbs)
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computers and peripherals
  • Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting and supporting patients
  • Moves and restructures organization of storage room to make space for new inventory
  • Access to a reliable vehicle

  • Travel medicine background a plus, not required
  • Adaptable - comfortable shifting gears between high-volume and consultative modes
  • Reliable for weekend coverage and flexible with scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth travel health consultations and educate clients on destination-specific risks
  • Administer vaccines per standing orders and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Recommend and promote travel health products and medications as clinically appropriate
  • Manage clinic setup, inventory, and compliance with safety and documentation protocols
  • Support onsite corporate wellness or vaccine clinic events as needed
  • Complete ongoing travel medicine training
