We are seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist to support the Veteran community in the Tacoma WA area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. The role involves direct patient care, including overnight nocturnal polysomnography, parasomnia montage studies, daytime sleep testing (MSLT and MWT), and Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT/HST). Responsibilities include event scoring, equipment setup and calibration, operation of monitoring systems, quality control, applying and adjusting PAP modalities, documenting patient tolerance, explaining procedures, monitoring patient status, maintaining patient safety and privacy, organizing patient charts, and accurate documentation in CPRS/HER systems. The role also involves administrative tasks such as preparing PAP supply requests and participating in quality control measures. The technologist will ensure all recorded data, scoring results, and technical notes are uploaded and routed appropriately for supervising clinicians and follow established workflows for notifying clinicians about abnormal findings. They will also provide post-study instructions to patients.
