The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist will perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, interviewing patients to understand sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures, and performing and documenting tests. The technologist will monitor patients throughout testing, intervening as necessary, and will collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs. Scoring, interpreting, and reporting results of sleep studies are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role includes preparing, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining equipment, and determining and reporting needed repairs or replacements.
