In this position, you will perform comprehensive sleep studies, analyze data, and support patients throughout their diagnostic and therapeutic journey while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist ( RPSGT ) credential.
- Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certification through the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program.
- Previous experience performing polysomnographic testing and sleep study scoring.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment.
- Apply electrodes and sensors according to AASM standards.
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic studies, including: CPAP/BiPAP titration studies, Split-night studies, Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT).
- Monitor patients throughout studies and respond appropriately to sleep-related events and emergencies.
- Score sleep studies and generate detailed reports in accordance with AASM guidelines.
- Educate patients on sleep disorders, PAP therapy, and equipment usage.
- Ensure equipment functionality and compliance with infection prevention protocols.
- Accurately document procedures, observations, and patient interactions within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
