Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
One or more of the following: Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists(BRPT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
1 year of Polysomnographic Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

Perform both basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies, continuously monitoring the patient throughout the process and intervening as necessary to resolve patient or equipment issues.
Prepare the patient and equipment for ordered testing, and interview patients to determine specific sleep disorder issues while clearly explaining testing procedures.
Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify individual needs, and accurately score, interpret, and report the results of all completed sleep studies.
Prepare, calibrate, and maintain all required testing equipment, including performing routine repairs and formally determining and reporting any necessary replacements.
