About The Position

Aviso Wealth is seeking a Registered Plans Administrator to join their Operations Team for a 6-month temporary position. The role involves processing requests for registered plan products within the CIRO platforms, ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines, and resolving inquiries. The administrator will also be involved in audits, collaborating with other departments, participating in committee meetings, and staying updated on relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in Operations or Registered Plans.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Pro-active problem-solving abilities with strong analytical skills.
  • Outstanding customer service focus.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and accurate with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work EST standard hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience of Dataphile is an asset.
  • Bilingual skills in French are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Administer registered plan products and process requests such as de-registration, un-locking, and specialized withdrawals.
  • Ensure registrations, contributions, and withdrawals meet regulatory deadlines for RESPs, RSPs, TFSAs, RIF accounts, FHSA, etc.
  • Investigate, respond to, and resolve registered plan related inquiries within SLA deadlines, escalating issues as needed.
  • Complete CIRO Registered Plan audits within internal and regulatory deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Tax, Estates, Transfers, New Accounts, and Client Account Maintenance departments for necessary updates to registered plans.
  • Actively participate in Registered Plan Committee Meetings to ensure trustee and regulatory changes are implemented into procedures and manuals.
  • Stay current on CRA, RQ, ESDC, and trustee regulations through review of legislation, press releases, and industry information bulletins.
