About The Position

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill a Registered Pharmacy Technician position. This is a full-time position based out of the Saint James Health Center located in San Jose, CA. The Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, performs duties of a non-discretionary nature as allowed by the California State Board of Pharmacy. These duties shall include: accepting written prescriptions, typing labels, removing the drug or drugs from stock, counting, pouring or mixing pharmaceuticals, placing the product into a container, affixing the label or labels to the container, prepackaging medications, involvement in inventory control, accepting refill prescription information, non-discretionary communication with patients and healthcare professionals, handling cash, insurance billing and maintaining supplies. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is very important. The successful candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Requirements

• Current or pending registration with the California State Board of Pharmacy
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual in Spanish required

• Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting
