About The Position

Journey is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates resident care while following the nursing model to promote holistic care. The role also directs the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and facility policies and procedures. Journey describes its work as community-centered, supported by local leadership and a dedicated home office team, with a mission to achieve exceptional quality outcomes through its Care Team.

Requirements

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the practicing state.
Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Direct the daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines and facility policies and procedures.
Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents.
Ensure assigned nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures.
Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers as required.
Assess residents for changes in status, notify the physician and the resident’s family or representative, and document accordingly.
Transcribe physician orders to the medical record and carry out orders as written.
