RN - Emergency Department
About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in the Emergency Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The nurse coordinates care planning with other disciplines and provides care addressing patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general needs. The role determines care priorities based on patient needs and factors affecting patient flow, communicates changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results to ED physicians, and responds promptly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with every other weekend and holidays required.
Requirements
- Current State of Ohio Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS Certification.
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
- TNCC certification within one year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care within the Emergency Department.
- Coordinate care planning with other disciplines.
- Provide care that meets patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
- Determine priorities of care based on patients’ physical and psychosocial needs and factors influencing patient flow.
- Communicate with ED physicians about changes in patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic study results.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
