About The Position

This role involves guiding the recovery journey of patients in the Senior Behavioral Health department. The Registered Nurse will perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to inform personalized care strategies. They will lead therapeutic interventions, including conducting or co-leading group therapy sessions, to provide patients with coping tools and community support. The nurse will also shape personalized treatment goals by participating in team conferences and refining interventions for age-related and clinical needs. Additionally, they will empower patient progress by evaluating real-time responses to care and adjusting nursing plans to ensure purposeful and responsive interventions.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to capture the full picture of a patient’s needs and strengths to inform a personalized care strategy.
Conduct or co-lead group therapy sessions, providing patients with essential coping tools and community support needed for healing.
Participate in team conferences to refine interventions that address the specific age-related and clinical needs of each patient.
Evaluate real-time responses to care and adjust nursing plans, ensuring every intervention is purposeful and responsive to the patient’s evolving status.
