Under the direction of the Unit Director, the RN is responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care while promoting positive patient outcomes and an outstanding patient experience. Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients.
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to evidence-based practices and organizational standards.
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and effectively.
- Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the healthcare team.
- Promote patient safety by following infection prevention, restraint, and quality care protocols.
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to support positive patient outcomes.
- Supervise and appropriately delegate patient care activities to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Nurse Techs, and Unit Secretaries.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, mandatory education, and competency training.
- Serve as a mentor or preceptor for new team members and nursing students, as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
