About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in the Pain Management department at Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan, Kansas. This is a full-time, day-shift role. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, observes and communicates patient conditions, follows physician and nursing orders, and assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs.

Requirements

• Hold a Registered Nurse credential from the Kansas Board of Nursing before the hire date or job transfer date.
• Obtain BLS Provider certification within 30 days of the hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
• Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or hold the required professional license at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge planning needs.
