About The Position

Rome Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical Imaging Department to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families. The role assesses, directs, and coordinates patient care and procedures in the Radiology environment, providing efficient, empathetic, and timely care appropriate to the ages of patients served. The nurse serves as a patient advocate and health teacher, carries out physician-prescribed medical regimens in accordance with departmental protocols, and performs nursing functions using the Nursing Process, Rome Health and Medical Imaging protocols, applicable regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New York State.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• One year of work experience in an acute care hospital is desirable.
• Experience in Radiology nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, direct, and coordinate patient care and procedures in the Radiology environment in an efficient, empathetic, and timely manner appropriate to the age of patients served.
• Serve as a patient advocate and health teacher.
• Carry out the medical regimen prescribed by the physician according to departmental protocols.
• Perform nursing functions using the Nursing Process, Rome Health and Medical Imaging protocols, applicable regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.
