About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The department has 64 beds: 2 triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 CDU, and 6 psychiatric beds. Patients served include newborns, pediatric patients, adults, and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes a rapid infusor and Arctic Sun. The position is scheduled from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM; block scheduling is not guaranteed. Navy blue scrubs are required.

Requirements

• Active New York Registered Nurse license; NURSYS verification is required.
• Proficiency in EPIC is required.

Nice To Haves

• Charge capability is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to all assigned patients, including SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) cases.
• Administer medications and manage essential drips, including pressors and sedation medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in floating to other units as required.
