About The Position

The Medical Intensive Care Unit-MICU is a 29-bed unit. Primary focus is on patients with respiratory distress, pneumonia, sepsis, multi-system organ failure, renal/hepatic failure, overdose, respiratory and cardiac arrest. The team utilizes ventilator support, ECMO, and Extend Time Renal Replacement (XTRRT). There is a 1:2 ratio and the MICU has an AACN Beacon Gold Designation. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • At least 6 months of RN experience
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS Required within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred
