Registered Nurse / Per Diem - OPD Adult Primary Care Community Clinic
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care for patients, families, and others within a patient population and primary area of practice, with awareness of the episode of care. The role applies the nursing process within the organization’s Framework for Professional Practice, functions as clinically competent, and appropriately delegates and supervises work. The position is in the Adult Primary Care outpatient ambulatory clinic at Hartford Hospital, a busy teaching-hospital clinic serving patients with preventive care needs and a range of health conditions. The clinic supports ongoing relationships between patients and clinicians, patient participation in care decisions, disease prevention, health promotion, early detection, and appropriate referrals. The position reports to the Unit Manager.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- BSN required.
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to the date of hire.
