About The Position

Texas Health Frisco is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver care to NICU patients using the Nursing Process. The role is based at Texas Health Frisco, a 93-bed acute-care hospital in Frisco, Texas, and works full time, 36 hours per week, on the 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. shift. The NICU features a strong team culture, a Couplet Care Model, and an average of 120 births per month. The nurse assesses patients, plans and provides care, evaluates interventions, and incorporates age-specific safety and infection-control measures. The nurse also addresses patients’ and significant others’ information needs and maintains continuity of care across shifts and hospitals, including while arranging out-of-hospital transfers.

Requirements

Diploma in Nursing or an associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
One year of experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) before providing independent care, maintained quarterly.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 90 days.
NRPA (Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 90 days.
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training within 90 days and maintained annually.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Two years of NICU experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
